Romance Shorts is a collection of 4 short love stories. Each story has its own beauty and grace that leaves a lasting impact on reader’s mind. Every story is written exquisitely with a climax that leaves us awestruck.

He has penned several short stories and was the recipient of Golden Pen award in the Monsoon Romance Contest 2014. A Delightful Read

Romance Shorts is a short but delightful read. Out of the 4 stories in the collection, first one is a bit long while others are quite short. So, basically one can finish the book in just one go. And as soon as the book is finished, one is left craving for more.

Love is at the centre of each story. We have a boy who looks down from his window at the girl of his dreams, a businessman who has everything but his wife, a man who has lost not only  his wife but also his memory in an accident and a girl who, with a broken heart, tries to rediscover love.

The stories seem to be as plain as the writing style, that is lucid. The author has very well portrayed the emotions of the characters. But the strength of each story is its climax. Each story brings out something at the end, which is beyond our imagination.

The content of the book is just superb. What I did not like is the book itself. Yes! The book looks like a complimentary copy that one gets for free with some other book. The cover is fine. I liked it. But at the back, there is nothing save the blurb. No pricing, no ISBN, or any other details. And the book has no introduction but we do have a few pages of appreciation of the book by readers. So, it is not the way a book is ought to be. I really hope that the subsequent editions have all the things that this one lacks.

I loved all 4 stories but the first one stands out. Besides the first one, the last one is my favorite. The stories are good, but they are all superficial. I would recommend this book to everyone out there. Go get your hands on it. I’m sure everyone will love it.

My Rating: **** (4/5)

Blurb

What does destiny have in store for a teenager unable to express his feelings for the girl of his dreams as their paths keep crossing through the years? Sid turns to work and alcohol to get over the pain of losing Sheetal till she walks back into his arms in the after-party of a corporate awards function. Is she back for good? What does an advertisement on a billboard try to tell a man who has lost his memory and his wife in a near fatal accident? As Ria nurses her broken heart, she meets a stranger on the Internet and finds herself irresistibly drawn to him. Will she find love again?

‘Romance Shorts’ is a collection of four contemporary romantic stories. A brisk read with a lasting impact, it paints love in its various hues that make it the only emotion worth dying for. A slice of life in true sense, the book takes us on a soulful journey as we relive loves lost or found or nurtured unprofessed in the deepest recesses of our hearts.

So, what do you think about the book? Did you find the blurb interesting? Do you think you’ll like this book? Do share your thoughts. Thanks.

  1. The blurb seems quite intriguing! I don’t read romance fiction much, but if I get the chance, I will read it.
